Antenna Mast (31 ft.) – By Jackite, these poles were designed with quality and price in mind. Features a green fiberglass pole with a thick tip. These were originally made for flying windsocks but Amateur Radio operators soon figured out they work great as poles for wire antennas while RVing!! We use one for our mobile ham shack!
Why use this pole vs the competition? Because, Jackite changed the standard for fiberglass poles in three ways:
- Reinforced the butt section so it would not split.
- Increased the wall thickness for less breakage.
- Most important, they began to provide poles with a thicker tip.
The Jackite Fiberglass Poles are telescoping like an antenna. You extend the pole out and twist the sections together to the desired length. For a shorter length pole, do not extend all the pole’s sections. All fiberglass poles collapse to 46 inches.
Expert Tip – With slight modification, the Jackite Thick Tip Fiberglass Antenna Pole will fit in our RV Flag Pole Buddy Ladder Mount 2.0. Try one of these mods:
- Remove the bottom plastic end cap (easier said than done) that keeps the pole sections inside the largest section. The outer diameter of the pole fits exactly inside the cup of the bottom Flag Pole Buddy Mount.
- Purchase our Harbor Freight Flag Pole Adapter shown below. It’s easy to use!
With one of these two modifications, you have no need to climb your ladder to install this antenna mast! Plus, if you install the ladder mount near the top of your ladder, you’ll most likely gain even more height for your antenna. That translates into further contacts! Woohoo!!

The owner of Hitched4fun.com, Aaron M. Scullin K6AMS, personally uses his Antenna Mast (31 ft.) while RVing.
On January 25th, Aaron won the long distance challenge using the digital mode FT-8 while at Quartzfest 2020. He made that contact 9,086 miles away using his Elecraft KX3, KXPA100 amplifier, SOTABEAMS two-band 20m/40m dipole antenna system (PDAS-200) mounted on his very own Jackite Thick Tip Fiberglass Antenna Pole. So fun!!
